تبنّت اللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان كلام مفوضها الشرق الأوسط ومستشارها لشؤون الأمم المتحدة في جنيف حول وجوب تشكيل وفد رسمي لمراقبة الإنتخابات التشريعية في سوريا في شهر نيسان ٢٠٢٠ نظراً لأهمية الموضوع والذي يتقاطع مع كلام وإدعاءات بات له أكثر من تسع سنوات لجهة حقيقة التمثيل الشعبي والذي عنه ينتج مقام الرئاسة الأولى في دمشق.
وفي حوار مع السفير الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد على إذاعة الأميركان العرب والتي تبث من ميتشيغان وتغطي ثلاث عشرة ولاية (١٣) قال أن الولايات المتحدة الأميركية لا تحبذ ولا تشجع فعليا مراقبة الإنتخابات من قبل جهات دولية معروفة بدقة تقديراتها وتشخيصها للوقائع الميدانية، مؤكداً أن السبب في ذلك يعود لبقاء هذا الأمر مكان تجاذب سياسي لعدم الإعتراف بحقيقة النتائج من أجل البناء عليها في سياساتها التي لا تكن الودّ لشخص الرئيس الدكتور بشار الأسد. وتعتبر (أي أميركا) أنه من الأفضل عدم المجيء بلجان مراقبة دولية خارج فلكها السياسي حتى لا تكون مجبرة وحلفائها بالإعتراف بالنتائج وبالتالي بشرعية الرئيس التي سعت منذ ١٥ آذار (مارس) ٢٠١١ إزاحته عن المشهد السياسي في سوريا، مستعملةً كل أنواع الحروب العسكرية والإعلامية في هذا الشأن.
وأكد السفير ابو سعيد في المقابلة على إذاعة الأميركية العربية أن أن هناك مشكلة كبيرة مع الولايات المتحدة الأميركية نشأت حول الكيميائي في سوريا وأن التقرير الأول سلاح الكيميائي في سوريا تم الضغط من أجل تغييره وإدانة الجيش السوري آنذاك، حيث تبين لاحقا للجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان من خلال التقارير والأدلة تم تقديمها للجهات الدولية المعنية تشير إلى إن كل الأدلة التي إستندت عليها أميركا وحلفائها مزيفة تم فبركتها من قبل الخوذ البيضاء بالتعاون مع قناة بريطانية واعترفت لاحقا بريطانيا بذلك.
