وَقَد زَعَموا أَنَّ المُحِبَّ إِذا دَنا

يَمَلُّ وَأَنَّ النَأيَ يَشفي مِنَ الوَجدِ

بِكُلٍّ تَداوَينا فَلَم يُشفَ ما بِنا

عَلى أَنَّ قُربَ الدارِ خَيرٌ مِنَ البُعدِ

عَلى أَنَّ قُربَ الدارِ لَيسَ بِنافِعٍ

إِذا كانَ مَن تَهواهُ لَيسَ بِذي وُدِّ

They claimed that if the lover is near, he would be bored,

and the farness cures from passion.

We treated us with both and what we had, was not cured.

But the nearness of the house is better than the farness.

However, proximity of the house is not beneficial,

If who you love is without passion.

Sie behaupteten, wenn der Liebhaber in der Nähe sei, würde er sich langweilen, und die Ferne heilt von Leidenschaft.

Wir behandelten uns mit beidem und was wir hatten, wurde es nicht geheilt.

Aber die Nähe des Hauses ist besser als die Ferne.

Allerdings ist die Nähe des Haus nicht von Vorteil,
